For UK Only Postings: The Craneware Group supports a flexible work environment as well as a collaborative and teamwork focused atmosphere. Employees will be expected to work a hybrid working arrangement spending 40% of their time per month in the Tanfield office - approx 2 days per week.
The Team
The Senior Software Developer is a self-motivated, responsible technologist who thrives in an agile and demanding environment. This Developer is driven to understand and meet customer expectations by building high performing, enterprise grade solutions. This role is for someone who works with large amounts of data, solve problems, and thrives in finding unique solutions to those problems.
You Will Be

- Maintaining and expanding our industry-leading, data intensive SaaS solutions for the healthcare sector
You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of related experience
- Self-driven to solve problems and get work done quickly along with being detail oriented and with minimum or no supervision.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written communication
- Over 6 years of Software Development experience using Object Oriented technologies building and maintaining multi-tier web applications
- Experience with unit testing methodologies.
- Experience in DevOps tools and practices including CI/CD.
- Experience in software design principles, architecture, patterns and practices like SOLID.
- Experience in SQL development and interacting with databases, preferably in a relational database like Oracle.
- Senior-level experience with PHP and a major web framework like Symfony or Laravel — or equivalent experience with something like Spring Boot or Rails
- Some experience with modern JavaScript and front end technologies is a plus
- Experience in several J2EE technologies is a plus
- Ability to take problems in complex domains and break them down into manageable pieces
- A curious nature that is unfazed by unfamiliar codebases and new challenges
